Verity Sequel Chapter Explained

In the sequel chapter to Verity by Colleen Hoover, titled “So Be It,“ Lowen and Jeremy are now living together with their newborn daughter, Nova, and son, Crew. Lowen is struggling with insecurities to adjust to motherhood and her postpartum body, and she feels constantly compared to Verity.
They have moved to North Carolina to avoid contact from the the people they know in New England area.
One day, Lowen is going through Verity’s belongings when she finds a letter that Verity wrote to Jeremy before she died. In the letter, Verity admits to killing their daughter, Harper, and to trying to kill their son, Crew. She also admits that she was never really pregnant with their daughter, Nova.
Lowen is shocked and horrified by Verity’s letter. She doesn’t know what to do with the information, but she knows that she can’t keep it from Jeremy. She gives him the letter to read, and he is devastated.
Jeremy confronts Verity about the letter, and she confesses to everything. She says that she killed Harper because she was jealous of her relationship with Jeremy. She also says that she tried to kill Crew because she didn’t want him to grow up to be like his father.
Jeremy is disgusted and enraged by Verity’s confessions. He attacks her, and she ends up dying.
After Verity’s death, Lowen and Jeremy move away with Crew. They start a new life together, but they are still haunted by the secrets of Verity’s past.
The bonus chapter of Verity does not provide any definitive answers about the future of Lowen and Jeremy’s relationship.
