JAMES Ms. Debra Lynette James passed from this life August 14, 2001 in Riverdale, GA. She was the sixth of seven children born to Gloria and the late Rev. Julius James. A native of Gary, IN, Debra was a 1977 graduate of Lew Wallace High School and attended Dillard University in New Orleans, LA.

She was a longtime employee of Rich's Department Store in Atlanta and was presently employed at Macy's Store as a Merchandiser. She was also a concessions manager at Phillip's Arena. She was a former member of St. John Baptist Church in Gary, IN and was currently a faithful and active member of Christian Fellowship Baptist Church in College Park, GA. Debra served as a Nursery Coordinator and was actively involved with the Youth Ministry.

She was also an active member of the Atlanta Christian Cursillo Community. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 20, 2001 at 11am at Christian Fellowship Baptist Church, 1500 Normand College Park, GA. Rev. Dr. Emmanuel McCall, Pastor, officiating.

LASSETTER Mr. Maurice K. Lassetter, age 89 of Cumming, died Sunday morning, August 19, 2001. Mr. Lassetter, a native of Atlanta has resided in Forsyth County since 1988.

Master, 77 of Kennesaw, formerly of Buffalo, and Tampa, died Friday. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta with Father Kevin Hargeden officiating. He was born by the late Mary (Amarante) and Hercules T. Master in 1923, in Buffalo, NY.

Hercules was employed by Niagara Mohawk Power Corp. at Huntley Steam Station in Buffalo, Dunkirk Steam Station in Dunkirk, and Nine Mile Point Unit Nuclear Generation Station in Oswego, and retired in 1984 after 43 years as Maintenance Supervisor. He was instrumental in the start up and subsequent maintenance of Nine Mile Point Unit Facility. He was a veteran of the Navy, serving in World War Il and the Korean War. He was also a member of the Elk's and the American Legion.

Hercules was an avid follower of the "Big Band" sound of music and jazz. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Ruth L. Master of Kennesaw, GA; and his children, Hercules T. Master IlI of Oswego, NY; Linda Master-Parker of Kennesaw, GA; Dana B. Woolley of Philadelphia, PA; and Stacie M.

was a successful businessman in the paper recycling Clifford business for over seventy years. very kind and generous man. In addition to providing for his extended family, he unselfishly gave to those in need. He often employed men that could not find work elsewhere. He also inspired each of his children as well as other members of his family and friends to go into business for themselves.

Clifford tirelessly worked six days a week, most often 12 hours a day. He reluctantly stopped working just last year. Infact, at the time of his retirement, he was still hauling paper from one of the hotels that he hauled from as a child. Clifford was a man of few words, but his kind and giving spirit spoke volumns. Clifford will sadly be missed by all who loved him.

In 1983, Linda and her family moved to Cumming where they opened the Shoney's Restaurant. Linda was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit, among many activities, she served as Junior Warden, EYC leader, and Sunday School teacher. Through Community Bible Study, she strengthened her relationship with God and maintained unwavering confidence in the teachings of her Lord and Savior.

She was a dedicated volunteer to Hands Across Forsyth.
