Life Skill Mastery - BDFoundry (2024)

Introduction

Life Skill Mastery is a new Life Skill stat that adds extra rewards to life skills. The amount of Life Skill Mastery you have is affected by your Life Skill level and Mastery gear. The gear can be enhanced to raise your Life Skill Mastery, using Black Gems and Concentrated Black Gems.

Mastery Clothes and Accessories

Manos Clothes and Manos Accessories can be crafted using Processing (L) > Manufacturing. Manos Accessories can also be obtained for 2,500 Crow Coins, which is through the Bartering Life skill.

There are also Blue grade and Green grade (Loggia) Mastery Gear available which gives less Mastery level but is easily obtainable. Green-grade gear is sold by Camellia Loggia at Loggia Farm or Zaaira in Velia for 1 million silver. Blue-grade gear is sold by Geranoa in Calpheon or Zaaira in Velia for 10 million silver.

Mastery Accessories give Life Skill Mastery for each Life Skill but the Mastery Clothes are specific to each Life Skill Mastery.

Mastery Tools

In addition to the Mastery Clothes and Accessories, you will need a certain Mastery Tool for Gathering and Processing and a Mastery Tool for the Training Mastery.

There are also Blue grade and Green grade (Loggia) Mastery Gear available which gives less Mastery level but is easily obtainable because it is sold by Material Vendors. The Horse Crop is sold by Stable Keepers instead.

Enhancing Mastery Gear

Life Skill Mastery Accessorieswillbreakiftheenhancementisunsuccessful.

The Life Skill Mastery Clothes have a safe enhancement of up to +5. Life Skill Mastery gear is easier to enhance than regular equipment, with a higher chance of success. But failstacks and valks’ cry do not affect the success rate, and your failstacks will not be reset when the enhancement succeeds, as well as not gaining failstacks when the enhancement fails.

To enhance Mastery gear, you will need Black Gems and Concentrated Black Gems.

Calculating Life Skill Mastery

Your Life Skill Mastery level is based on the Mastery equipment you are wearing as well as your Life Skill level. To calculate your total Mastery points, use the tables below:

Gathering Mastery

• Basic Resources: drop amount increase up to +400%, chance to obtain up to 80%
• Special Resources: drop amount increase up to +100%, chance to obtain up to 200%
• Rare Resources: drop amount increase up to +85%, , chance to obtain up to 250%
• Very Rare Resources: drop amount increase up to +44.42%, chance to obtain up to 133.25%
• 0% to +30% chance of not consuming Energy per gather (reduced from +60% chance at Master 1 Gathering Life Skill)

• The Gathering Chance increase buff from Magic/Lucky Gathering tools does not stack with your Gathering Mastery
• If you have a Magic/Lucky Gathering Tool equipped, the buff from the gathering tools will be applied only
• You should use a Magic Tool until you are over 650 mastery. Magic Tools have an increased extra acquisition rate of +80%

Fishing Mastery

Higher fishing mastery has the following benefits:

• Greater chance of catching the newly added Orange grade fish (Legendary fish) – worth 1 million to 100 million silver.
• Higher chance of catching Legendary Fish when Harpoon fishing – worth 50 million to 100 million silver.
• Higher chance of obtaining Ancient Relic Crystal Shards

Investing in Mastery gear is really not worth it unless you want to Harpoon fish or actively fish. However, you can still use your accessories from other Life Skill Mastery for an extra bonus.

Legendary fish can be caught in specific locations in both the freshwater and sea. They can be sold to traders for high prices but Imperial Fishing is unavailable.

• You can also exchangeFish Bones and Tattered Boots for Crio’s Fishing Chair at Crio at Velia to obtain Crio’s Fishing Chair.
• Crio’s Fishing Chair has a base durability of 100, and consumes 1 durability per fishing attempt.
• Crio’s Fishing Chair can be equipped to the character and gives Fishing Mastery +100.
• Players found it is usually better to use the Maple Float instead

Hunting Mastery

Higher Hunting mastery gives the following benefits:

• Increases the drop rate chance of getting more items from butchering animals after hunting them. Blue Whale, Khalk, Humpback Whale, and Freshwater Crocodiles are not affected by this, however.
• Increases chances of obtaining rare items from butchering animals after hunting them.
• Allows you to use the Sniper Rifle
• Increases your accuracy with a Sniper Rifle
• Allows you to use some Matchlocks based on your Hunting Mastery instead of your Hunting Life Skill
• You can gather rare hunting materials to craft trade items or housing furniture with buffs (list of hunting materials below).

There are also 21 new trade items that can be crafted using hunting materials and new furniture.

Hunting Materials

In addition, a new sniper rife has been added which allows you to shoot a monster’s weak spot from a longer distance. The sniper mode is a mini-game that requires your aiming skills. Using sniper mode will increase your chances of gaining enhancement materials when butchering.

Here is the recipe to craft a Sniper Rifile (using Processing (L) > Manufacture):

Cooking Mastery

Higher Cooking Mastery has the following benefits:

• You will receive more profit for Imperial Cooking Boxes (up to 114.9%).
• The chance to obtain the maximum amount of food per cooking will increase up to 61.1% (e.g. if you get 1 to 4 results when cooking a certain food, the chance to get 4 will increase
• The chance to obtain higher-grade food will increase up to 19.3% max.
• You will have a chance of Mass Cooking occurring. This means you will be able to cook in larger batches. (e.g. you will use x10 materials at once and get x10 food at once, but the durability of your Cooking Utensil will only decrease by 1). The chance of this occurring can increase up to 100% depending on your total Cooking Mastery points.

However, mastery gear is not typically used when cooking because it is hard to obtain 1 second cooking time without wearing Silver Embroidered Cook’s Clothes. The mastery gear is still used though for handing in cooking boxes.

Emergency food quests have also been added which will pop up at random times whilst you are cooking. Emergency food quests require you to cook x1 of the food you are already cooking and then turn it in at an NPC. As a reward, you will receive a large number of cooking ingredients.

For example: [Emergency] Food for Calpheon Slum will require one random food among three types of food. The rewards are either 1000 Eggs or 1000 Milk.

Food recipes to increase Cooking Mastery:

Alchemy Mastery

Higher Alchemy Mastery has the following benefits:

• You will receive more profit for Imperial Alchemy Delivery (up to 46%).
• The chance to obtain the maximum amount of results per recipe will increase up to 50% (e.g. if you get 1 to 4 results when creating a certain elixir, the chance to get 4 will increase)
• The chance to get extra byproducts will increase
  • Regular Byproducts: up to 3.57% drop rate
    
  • Special Byproducts: up to 1.92% drop rate
    
  • Rare Byproducts: up to 0.23% drop rate
    

New Spirit Stones (Alchemy Stones) can be crafted when your Alchemy Mastery is now over 500 points. The chance of getting a higher grade increases as your Alchemy Mastery increases. New alchemy recipes have also been added to create the materials needed for the new spirit stones.

Processing Mastery

• For example, an adventurer with Processing Mastery 2 will be able to do 10 Chopping with one Mass Process, while an adventurer with Processing Mastery 400 will be able to do 30 Chopping with one Mass Process, resulting in more items within the same time. Items consumed for 1 Mass Process equals (Items consumed for 1 General Processing) x (No. of Processing done for Mass Processing according to Processing Mastery).

Training Mastery

Higher training mastery has the following benefits:

• The chance of successfully taming wild horses will increase
• The amount of exp that your mounts get will increase
• The chance of getting higher-tier horses via horse breeding will increase. (Chance is affected when the breeding starts.)

In addition, with the Training Mastery implementation, higher Training skill level will also affect the chance of acquiring new skills when the mount levels up.

You can also use a Riding Crop to increase your Training Mastery as well as the mount’s auto-pathing speed and run speed.

New horse gear can also be crafted at the Horse Gear Factory (level 3) at Stonetail Horse Ranch and has set effects. Crafting recipes are listed below:

Trading Mastery

There is currently no Mastery benefits for the Trading Life skill

Farming Mastery

There is currently no Mastery benefits for the Farming Life skill

Sailing Mastery

Sailing Mastery will increase your ship’s stats (acceleration, speed, turn, break).

If you have 1500 points for example, you will have a 15% increase to all your ship’s stats (acceleration, speed, turn, break).

Bartering Mastery

There is currently no Mastery benefits for the Bartering Life skill
